Prince Harry’s ‘hurt’ revealed after he’s barred from major royal event

Prince Harry’s barring from Trooping the Colour would have ‘hurt him, an expert has claimed. Broadcaster Dee Dee Dunleavy appeared on Sky News Australia to discuss the Duke of Sussex not attending Trooping the Colour last weekend.

Prince Harry “would have” cared about attending, she said. “(Meghan) wouldn’t have given a flying about Trooping the Colour, but Harry would have. “His military service was always incredibly important to him and he served two tours of Afghanistan to not be invited and to not be part of that would have really hurt him. “For Kate, I think this is a big part of the reason it was so important for her to be there. She’s an honorary colonel of the Irish guards and she wanted to be there in order to thank those people for their service.

“There wasn’t much buildup, she announced it the day before that she was going to be there, which is extraordinary.” The broadcaster then went on to discuss the Princess of Wales’ cancer diagnosis and treatment. She mentioned how Kate is “going to do more as she feels fit to do so”. Ms Dunleavy said: “The treatment the princess is still having could have quite an impact on her and I absolutely agree that she should be owed privacy while she goes through the treatment.”

The host also said Meghan and Harry were “moaning” about not being invited to Trooping the Colour. She said: “They weren’t invited and they did announce just hours before Kate’s big return that their lifestyle brand is now doing dog treats and raspberry jam.

Ms Dunleavy said: “There was this news that Meghan had apparently invented some new Incredible new jam. “It turns out that it was raspberry, up until that point she’d only made strawberry. But here’s the it gets worse she’s only made two jars of this raspberry jam.”
