Real reason Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won’t return to the UK revealed
The Duke of Sussex said he is worried about bringing Meghan Markle to the UK over fears she might get attacked, he has said.
Prince Harry has expressed deep concerns for his wife Meghan Markle’s safety if they were to return to the UK.
In an interview for the ITV documentary Tabloids on Trial, the Duke of Sussex revealed his fear that negative media coverage could inspire an attack on Meghan, with the possibility of a knife or acid assault.
“All it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff to act on what they have read,” Harry said. He continued: And whether it’s a knife or acid, whatever it is, these are things that are of genuine concern for me. It’s one of the reasons why I won’t bring my wife back to this country.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from royal life and moved to Montecito, California in 2020.
