Prince Harry and Meghan LIVE: Duke’s friend hits out at King Charles for ‘not seeing son’
A friend of King Charles defended the monarch, saying he did not "to find space in his diary."
Prince Harry’s friend has taken aim at King Charles for not meeting with his son in the UK last week. The Duke of Sussex was back in his native Britain to attend an event for the Invictus Games, but his father was unable to see him due to other commitments.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, a friend of the King said: “It’s all very sad. While he was hardly going to roll out the red carpet the moment this Invictus trip was announced, with doctors advising him to focus on his treatment and recovery, the idea that he refused to find space in his diary…Well, let’s say recollections may vary once again.”
But a friend of Harry said: “Could His Majesty not have made a request to see his son? It was widely known he was coming.”
The comments come as Harry and his wife Meghan Markle wrap up their three-day visit to Nigeria.
