Meghan Markle was recently seen embracing well-wishers while in Nigeria, and royal watchers were reminded of her mother-in-law, the late Princess Diana. The exchange went viral on TikTok, garnering over 600,000 views, 18.7K likes and 1,601 comments.
TikTok user megsmarkle uploaded the footage captioned: “She is so loved.” Nigeria sent a team to the 2023 Invictus Games and is considering being a host nation, hence inviting the Sussexes for a visit as part of the courting process. Harry and Meghan were in Nigeria for three days, visiting Abuja and Lagos, meeting with government officials and locals. In the clip, Meghan is seen surrounded by Nigerian women and girls, all clamoring to be near her.
Meghan is seen smiling, laughing and chatting, putting her arm around one woman and chatting with another woman, trying to multi-task her way through the crowd. In 1990, Princess Diana and the future King Charles conducted a royal tour of the West African nation. Diana was known to be very kind when engaging with the public, which is what some TikTok users are seeing and writing about in the comments.
