Prince Harry’s brutal five-word admission about Meghan Markle
One royal expert has recalled a famous comment that Prince Harry once made about his wife.
Prince Harry once made a brutal five-word admission about Meghan Markle, who he has now been married to for six years. Commenting on the couple’s “equal partnership”, royal expert and author Tom Quinn recalled a famous comment that Harry once made about his wife
Mr Quinn told the Mirror: “No one has ever doubted that Harry and Meghan do not have an equal partnership when Harry famously said, ‘what Meghan wants Meghan gets,’ he neatly summed up the situation. “Harry has always come across as a lost little boy, overprotected by the Royal Family as a child and then suffering the death of his mother he has always seemed unsure and indecisive, always searching for a strong partner who makes up for his own weakness.”
Speaking of Meghan’s role in their relationship, Mr Quinn said: “Meghan is very much that partner. She is ambitious, determined and a real fighter – Harry always tries to fight alongside her, but the battling, complaining Harry we see now did not exist before Meghan’s arrival on the scene.” He also added that the one thing he loves about his wife – the fact she gives him a “backbone” – may not “stand the test of time”.
The expert added: “For now, Harry loves the fact that Meghan gives him some of the backbone he always lacked, but her dominance in the relationship may not always be welcome – what charms us and delights us early on in a relationship doesn’t always stand the test of time.”
The couple tied the knot in 2018, and have since welcomed two children – Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3. Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior working royals at the start of 2020 – less than two years after Meghan officially joined the family. The couple now reside in ultra-luxurious $14 million mansion in Montecito with Archie and Lilibet.
